Description

Marks & Spencer published this impressive puzzle of an English galleon in stormy waters in 1992. The title is St. Michael and it comes in a sturdy box with leather-like texture. There is no information on the box, but the real title of the painting is The “Resolution” in a Gale, by Willem van de Velde the Younger. You can admire the original painting at the National Maritime Museum, in Greenwich, London.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There is some sticker residue in one of the corners but it is on the outer packaging.

Another interesting puzzle with sailing ship is the 308 piece wooden version The Boarding of the Chesapeake, by Thomas Whitcombe, which Optimago published in 1990.
