Optimago manufactured this very rare hand cut wooden puzzle in 1990. The title is Central Park in Winter – The Skating Pond, by Charles Parsons. This is, however, a lithography by Lyman Wetmore Atwater, which was published by Currier & Ives. You can admire the original artwork at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York.
Optimago Ltd were a prolific manufacturer of wooden jigsaw puzzles established in London in 1979. They ceased their activity in 2005. Their puzzles were not laser-cut. Instead, they preferred the more labor-intensive but traditional method of scroll saw cutting.
The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There are some small tears on the seal.
There are not many puzzles by Optimago. Another one is the 308 piece version of The Road – Winter, by Otto Knirsch.
