Description

Arrow produced this beautiful puzzle in 1984. The title in the box is The Picnic, by James Tissot. However, the real title of the painting is Holyday. It doesn’t appear very often and it is very difficult to find You can visit the Tate Gallery in London, if you want to see the original painting.

Tissot painted this work in 1876, just 5 years after he moved to England, when he was 35 years old. Before moving to London, he was a successful painter of Paris society. The painting shows a group of elegantly dressed men and women during a picnic at the pond in the painter’s garden. It is a masterpiece that reveals attention to detail and vivid colors.
