Description

This is a very rare puzzle by the Japanese jigsaw brand Tenyo. The Theatrum Orbis Terrarum is the first modern atlas. The Flemish Nederlandish cartographer Abraham Ortelius created the first version in 1570. After that, Ortelius revised and expanded the atlas regularly. For that reason, there are many editions available. In fact, several editions appeared after Ortelius’ death in 1598.

The title of this version is Map of the World, from Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, Antwerp, 1598.

This puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in very good condition, although the sunlight has faded out the colors of the box. However, the puzzle has much more vibrant colors.

It measures 73 x 102 cm. The reference number is T-2000-787. It is a very nice puzzle with the top quality of Japanese brands.

There is a 3000 version by Educa with a different edition of this Theatrum Orbis Terrarum.
