Description

This is an extraordinary puzzle by Schmidt, and very difficult to find. The title in the box is simply Mount Calvary, and there is no reference to the artist in the box. The puzzle belongs to their Ambassador series.

It is really a fragment of the painting Crucifixion of Christ, or Kreizigung Christi, although it is also known simply as Calvary. The artist is the Master of 1477. (Thanks one more time to my friend Amparo for finding this valuable information about the artist).

You can admire the original painting at the Staatsgalerie Altdeutsche Meister.

The puzzle is COMPLETE (1500 pieces), as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in very good condition, some some of them showing signs that the puzzle has been assembled before. The box is in very good condition, with some shelf wear.
