Tate Britain (The Tate Gallery), published this wonderful painting by the famous British artist Joseph Mallord William Turner, known as William Turner. The title is Venice, The Bridge of Sighs. Turner painted it in 1840 and it is held for the nation (UK) in The National Gallery’s Tate Britain as part of the Turner Bequest, 1856.
An interesting puzzle and difficult to do, the pieces are very high quality with a linen feel and look to them with no glare and are in perfect, as new condition. Any glare is from the photographs but the puzzle is matte. The pieces fit perfectly and tightly together so much so that you can hold the completed puzzle in one hand. It would be worth framing.
Puzzle enthusiasts often say that you should make at least one Neuschwanstein Castle puzzle in your lifetime. This is another puzzle that falls into the same category. It is challenging. A very rare and difficult to find puzzle.
The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photographs, with the pieces later placed in a heavy-duty plastic bag. The box is in good condition, with minor shelf wear to corners, and the top right hand corner with some minor scuffs.
There are not many puzzles with paintings by Turner. Flame Tree Publishing published a 1000 pieces version of The Fighting Temeraire.
