Description

This is an extremely rare puzzle by Past Times. The amazing painting is Laus Veneris (In Praise of Venus) by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. It is related to Algernon Charles Swinburne‘s poem of the same name and to the legend of the young knight Tannhauser that falls in love with Venus.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in very good condition. The box is in fair condition for such an old puzzle, one edge is broken and another is pretty worn out. There is a price mark on top.

There are not many puzzles with paintings by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. Educa published in 1999 a 1500 piece version of The Failure of Sir Gawaine.
